Cabinet decides to process awaiting cases

Kathmandu:
As per the latest news received the Cabinet here has decided to process the awaiting international adoption files already in line according to the old rules while the new cases will be done according to the new rules which would come in to effect soon.

The cabinet said the old cases to be processed as soon as possible while the new rules would also be coming very soon.

The Bill committee is reviewing in detail the new draft of the terms and conditions.

There are more than 450 cases which are awaiting to be finalized since the adoption deadlock since March this year.

There was a big confusion and chaos among families earlier about the old matching being dismissed.

As per the new international adoption terms and conditions the matching of an adoption free child and an eligible adoptive family will be done by the government confirmed sources.

Earlier the adoption application was mainly filed at the orphanage who matched the child and forwarded the same to the concerned authority.
